FIBE provides the fintech and finance ecosystem with a platform for dialogue and networking. Networking options include a Color Happy Hour, a “Späti” talk and Minigolf.
FIBE is not a traditional trade show; therefore, networking doesn't take place at an exhibitor booth only, but in specially designed formats throughout the venue. The current networking offerings include the following:
• Colour Happy Hour
FIBE will provide festival wristbands upon arrival. These wristbands differ in color, depending on the guest's choice during accreditation. "Colour Happy Hour" is a special networking session for all guests with the same-colored festival wristbands. Participants gather in a designated area for networking for up to 30 minutes. Conversation starters will be provided, and registration will be possible through the app.
• FIBE Späti
A "Späti" is the Berlin equivalent of a convenience store, open seven days a week, primarily offering snacks and drinks. Some people use them solely for purchasing drinks, while others may stay for several hours, especially if seating arrangements are available. At the FIBE Späti, guests can enjoy a drink and socialize with new people. Additionally, some of the speakers will visit the Späti to welcome participants and engage in conversations with them. On April 24th at 11:35 am, Tatjana Kiel (CEO, Klitschko Ventures), Brett Scott (Author, campaigner, former broker), and Tamaz Giorgadse (Co-Founder & CEO of Raisin) will be present. At 3:20 pm, Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen (Director at ETH Zurich, former Head of Science at NASA) has confirmed his attendance.
• Minigolf
At the minigolf, guests can play golf while conducting business. “We are a festival that combines lifestyle and business. Therefore, our focus is not only on business but also on the fun factor, and minigolf brings these elements together”, says Lisa Dally, project lead FIBE. “
In comparison to regular golf, we associate "minigolf" more with the Berlin lifestyle at FIBE. That's why we opted for this variation.”
The FIBE App will launch in April, 8th. It can be downloaded for free from the App Store. The app features include program details on the main stages (Festival Stage, Club Stage and Podcast Stage), background information from the speakers and an overview of all side events. Additionally, participants can create their own profile and connect with other festival attendees. Furthermore, networking activities can be booked within the app.
