Messe Berlin: Global event organizer with a new brand design

Dynamic, confident and versatile – kleiner + bold presents Messe Berlin’s new brand design.

More than 30 years since Messe Berlin GmbH was established in 1992, the company is relaunching the brand with a new-look logo. The new logo and brand design are inspired by tradition and updated for the present day. The result is a modern brand design that reflects the dynamic nature of trade fair business.

The newly designed logo of Messe Berlin evokes clarity and confidence. It still references the Brandenburg Gate – symbolizing the state-owned enterprise’s connection with the capital. Featuring the words ‘Messe Berlin’, the various logo variants reflect the many ways of communicating a modern brand: whether analog or digital, in large-scale or small-sized format on social media – this versatile logo impresses, no matter the setting. Blue tones remain the dominant feature of the brand design – augmented by a contrasting range of fresh colors.

The six columns of the Brandenburg Gate are the defining key visual, the styling impulse that characterizes the design. Another striking element is the dynamic variation of form and color, a creative space as dynamic as the brand itself. The new brand design was created in partnership with the Berlin-based agency kleiner + bold and is due to be rolled out in several phases.

Messe Berlin strengthens its ties between the company, in-house events and subsidiaries

Whether for the Green Week, Fruit Logistica, InnoTrans or ITB – Messe Berlin is focusing on greater visibility in communicating its in-house events. This often features the company logo, benefiting brands and companies alike.

As part of the brand relaunch the logos of Messe Berlin’s subsidiaries are now more closely integrated in the brand family. It makes Messe Berlin visually more identifiable as the sender in the case of Capital Catering GmbH, Capital Services GmbH and Capital Facility GmbH for example, the companies located on the exhibition grounds.
