The Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin GmbH has extended the contract of Managing Director Dirk Hoffmann ahead of schedule by a further five years until 2030. Dirk Hoffmann was appointed to the Management Board of Messe Berlin as Chief Financial Officer in 2015. Since September 2023, the business graduate has been Chief Operating Officer and manages the group of companies together with the Chairman of the Management Board, Dr Mario Tobias.

‘Messe Berlin is a strong economic factor in our city. Dirk Hoffmann has played an important role in the positive development and successful restart of Berlin as a trade fair and congress location following the coronavirus pandemic. With his extension, we are ensuring continuity in the management team of our trade fair company for the upcoming future tasks. In addition to the further development of the trade fair portfolio, this also includes the consistent modernisation of the location, says Franziska Giffey, Senator for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises in Berlin.
