Event expert Alexander Stein takes over management of FRUIT LOGISTICA
On 1 February 2025 Alexander Stein (51) will become project manager of FRUIT LOGISTICA. He takes over from Kai Mangelberger (45), who has been in charge of the leading trade fair for the global fruit trade since 2021.
FRUIT LOGISTICA welcomes Alexander Stein as its new director. As of 1 February 2025 he will be responsible for the strategic management of the trade fair, which is taking place from 5 to 7 February in Berlin. He succeeds Kai Mangelberger, who now heads the recently created Mobility Division.

Alexander Stein has more than 20 years of experience in organising international trade fairs and events. Most recently, he was in charge of event management at the ZBI Group (part of Union Investment). Prior to that, he held a senior management post at NürnbergMesse. As deputy project manager of the world's leading trade fair BioFach and later as head of the Building & Construction department, he gained extensive expertise in the strategic, conceptual and sales development of B2B events. He also has wide-ranging experience in digital and hybrid events.
“In my previous posts I was able to gain valuable experience at international level and got to know the trade fair industry from various perspectives – from both the organisers' and exhibitors' point of view“, says Alexander Stein. “I want to use that knowledge to further strengthen FRUIT LOGISTICA as an important meeting place for existing and future partners and as an important source of inspiration and driver of innovation for the fruit and vegetable industry,“
FRUIT LOGISTICA covers the entire value chain of the fresh fruit and vegetable trade, from the point of seed to the point of sale. With over 2,600 exhibitors from more than 90 countries in 26 exhibition halls, the trade fair is an indispensable meeting place for the fresh fruit industry.
